The Trump Organization isn't the developer on this project — it's the brand and standard: the name, finish and service requirements, hotel management. Building and selling is Dar Global, a London-based developer active across the Gulf; the land and AIDA's master plan are a joint venture with Oman's state-owned OMRAN.
That distinction matters at the point of sale: your contract is with the developer and its legal entity, not with the brand owner. Ask who exactly is the counterparty and how the brand licensing agreement is structured.
For the region, this is the fifth joint project between Dar Global and The Trump Organization; in Dubai itself they have a separate project — a tower on Sheikh Zayed Road.
What this place is
AIDA is a gated clifftop resort about half an hour from Muscat: an 18-hole golf course, a clubhouse, a spa, restaurants and a nightclub on the cliff edge. The hotel sits on the upper terrace, with the pool cantilevered to the very edge — offering a direct view over the gulf.
Oman isn't Dubai, and the market here works differently: far fewer deals, lower liquidity, and buyers come for the view and privacy rather than a rental income stream. Foreign ownership is available within integrated tourism complexes, the category AIDA belongs to — a distinct land classification whose status should be verified through documents.
